Hide or Unhide Properties Option in Windows OS

From My Computer->Properties option we can see the computer hardware information which very sophisticated. If you want to keep away common users to from this then you have to hide this option. you can do this easily by editing windows registry. Hide or unhide properties option whenever you want. Now here is the step by step guide to edit registry to hide or unhide properties option in Windows OS.

Step 1:

First of all open registry editor by running “regedit” command in run(window key+r). then go to this link:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER->Software->Microsoft->Windows->CurrentVersion->Policies->Explorer

 Then add a new DWORD value as follows:

If your OS is 32 bit then select 32-bit value otherwise select 64-bit value.

Step 2:

Set value name “NoPropertiesMyComputer” and in Value data set 1 to hide the option and 0 to unhide the option.

Now you have to restart your computer to take this effect in action.
