Multiple Tricks to Enable Disabled Task Manager

Task manager in windows operating may be disabled automatically by any active virus. Or may be you want to disabled the task manager so that other users cannot access it. You can disable or enable task manager in many different ways. Here we are going to teach you multiple tricks to enable disabled task manager.

Tips-1:

Open run command window by pressing windows key + r and run the command gpedit.msc. Then go to User Configuration->Administrative Templates->System->Ctrl+Alt+Del Options and double click on Remove Task Manager. Then select Not Configured or Disable option and finally press OK. Now task manager will work again.

Tips 2: 

First of all open registry editor and go to link: HKEY_CURRENT_USER->Software->Microsoft->Windows->CurrentVersion->Policies->Explorer. If you don’t know about registry editor then check our previous post Hide or Unhide Properties Option in Windows OS. Now add a new property and name it as “DisableTaskMgr”.

Then double click on DisableTaskMgr and set value 1 to disable and 0 to enable task manager.

Tips 3:

Open a new notpad text file and name it as TMEnabled.reg. Now write the following code to enable task manager:

[html]Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System]
“DisableTaskMgr”=dword:00000000[/html]

After saving above code just run the file and task manager will be enabled. To disable it just change the last value 1 in the end of the line (dword:00000001).
