Your USB drive or pendrive may be affected by virus anytime. And a common thing virus does is to hide all of your files in your USB drive. If you access your USB drive you see an empty file but when you check drive space from properties then it shows that it’s been used. If you change the option “show all hidden files and folders” from Folder Options in control panel, still you can’t see your files? isn’t it irritating? So how can you recover virus effected hidden files from USB drive? Here is the solution:-
At first go to search bar from start menu in windows 7 or vista and in XP go to Run from start menu and write cmd.exe and press enter:
Then it will forward you to the command window:
Now for example your USB drive letter is H (Please check your USB drive letter from My Computer). First You need to enter in your drive so in command line write H: and press enter button.
After entering your USB drive write attrib -h -r -s /s /d H:\*.* and press enter. In here if your drive letter is different then H just Change the letter and press enter button. And it’s done. Now check in your USB drive you will see a folder without any name or a folder named by Lost Data. And you will find all of your data here.
After entering your USB drive write H: attrib -s -r -h -a /s /d and press enter. And it’s done. Now check in your USB drive and all hidden data are there!!!
