This is the series post on free responsive WordPress slider plugin. In our previous post we have shown you on Meta Slides slider plugin. In this post we are going to explore another popular free responsive WordPress slider plugin which is Meteor Slides. One of the main reason for the popularity of this plugin is that it is powered by jQuery Cycle with over twenty transition styles to choose from. You can easily create slideshows and publish them with a shortcode, widget, or template tag. Another reason is you can publish multiple slideshows.

First thing first, get the plugin from above link and install it. Upon installation you can see a new menu Slides under Comments menu. This is more like default post or page option. First of all go to settings page to set different parameter like image slide, how many slider image, navigation style etc.



After set up the settings go to Add New to add a new image. As like as we create category while publishing a post you have to create slider. See the following snap:



You can see all the slider in Slideshows menu:


Finally Use <?php if ( function_exists( ‘meteor_slideshow’ ) ) { meteor_slideshow(); } ?> to add this slideshow to your theme, and shortcode [meteor_slideshow] to add it to your Post or Page content, or use the Meteor Slides Widget.
